Seath Instruments (1992) Ltd are certified compass adjusters and repairers - MCA approved.

We pride ourselves on high quality service and customer satisfaction in maritime compass adjustment, repair and service of all types of traditional nautical instruments. Our well-equipped workshops in Essex and Suffolk allow for testing and calibration of new instruments, as well as old equipment being brought back to full working condition.
Seath Instruments manufacture the HAZTEC range of gas alarms and control systems which detect LPG gas and carbon monoxide. These are primarily for the fishing and leisure market and are stocked by many marine chandleries or available direct from us.
Personal BW gas monitors are also supplied and maintained. We have the latest high tech equipment in our workshops to offer a full calibration service.
Meet The Team
Adam Norris
Adam is the youngest MCA Compass Adjuster in the UK with a wealth of experience being in the nautical industry since the age of 16.
Peter Garrod
Peter is one of the most experienced Compass Adjusters across the UK. Taking over from Bill Seath in 1992, Peter has successfully built up and run Seath Instruments into the company it is today.
Rachel Williams
Rachael has been with Seath Instrument since leaving school. With a great attitude, loyalty and work ethic she deals with the day to day running of the company office.
